Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx will seek a second term; he announced his intentions to run again in an e-mail message sent to his supporters Monday morning.
Foxx will host an official campaign kick off tonight at Irwin Avenue Elementary (329 N. Irwin Ave.) at 5:30 p.m.
Republican Scott Stone is also seeking the office. Stone is vice president and national infrastructure director for Merrick & Company.
