Noted North Carolina half-wit (and U.S. 5th District congresswoman) Virginia Foxx has jumped to the top of the pile of GOP lawmakers who’ve been competing to claim the mantle of Most Opposed to Abortion. Outdoing her colleagues, Foxx sponsored an amendment, which passed this week, taking away all federal funds for any medical schools that teach students how to perform abortions. Luckily, Foxx’s amendment is tacked onto the bill to repeal health care reform, which is slated to pass as soon as I win the Powerball lottery.
Foxx gained national fame, or notoriety, during the health care reform debates when she said one of the results of reform would be that Americans could be “put to death by their government,” and that health care reform was more dangerous to the American people than terrorism. With all the new Tea Partiers joining her in Congress, perhaps, as the BlueNC site put it, Foxx is worried she’s losing her spot as the dimmest bulb in Congress. This latest venture ought to seal the deal for her, although there’s still a chance Louie Gohmert of Texas or Steve King of Iowa could launch comebacks.
Next up from the GOP? A bill to ban the word abortion from the dictionary; a ban on all medical procedures beginning with the letter A; and defunding of all federal roads that lead to, or go by, any clinics or hospitals where abortions are performed.

Dear people of North Carolina,
I was born in North Carolina, and I would thoroughly appreciate it if you would vote this crazy fox out of office. It makes all of us look bad. I know very well that most of the people of North Carolina are indeed sane and rational people. Unlike Virginia Foxx.
Sincerely yours,
–Quite Mad (but not crazy like a Foxx)

Won’t happen. Humans are tribal in nature and cannot see past party labels. That applies to both politicians and voters. The entire election comes down to which team can get the most supporters to actually get off their butts and come to the poles.
Great picture; Virginai Foxx has proven to be as smart as she looks!
DLP,
Why should I have to go to Warsaw or Krakow to vote?
Bob:
????
Bob:
Never mind, I get it. Poles. LOL.
Like Alexander Bellinski, the first telephone pole.
Have pity on me! I’m in her district! We tried very hard last time to get rid of her, but it may have been the wrong time. We had a great candidate who tried very hard and who is far superior to Foxxie. What can we do? Perhaps a group of you, unbeknownst to us, could sneak into the NC 5th sometime when she is here and carry her off somewhere. Don’t tell us; just get rid of her.
Have pity on me! I live in her district! We tried very hard last time to push her out, but it the wrong year. We had a great candidate who worked tirelessly, though to no avail. Believe it or not, she sweet talks the folks she thinks will support her. Why don’t some of you from out of this area, and unbeknownst to us, come down into the NC 5th when she is here and carry her off somewhere. Don’t tell us; just do it. We’ll find out soon enough.

Foxx is a piece of work all right.
My question is: since this woman is so off-the-wall, so to speak, why are the rational people not going to the polls to vote her out? Is it because so many part-time-residents in her district don’t vote there? Is it because the people of this state are so contrary they like having an extremist in office just to thumb their noses at the rest of the country? They did keep Jesse Helms in office a long time, after all.
Since I suspect all the electronic voting machines are rigged, that could be the reason. The power structure in Raleigh needs her in office to support their takeover of the state.
It all begs the question, just what could she, would she, do, to be flaky enough for her to be voted out?
