It’s no secret that Anonymous, the hactivist group made up of a little bit of everyone, plans to occupy Wall Street on Sept. 17, a day also kicking off the affectionately named U.S. Days of Rage.
(Don’t worry, the government and bankers are already clued in.)
Meanwhile, even though Charlotte’s darling, Bank of America, is one of the group’s favorite punching bags, there hasn’t been much talk about any occupation of Trade and Tryon. (O.K., there’s been a little.)
Dern. Guess the hackers just aren’t that into you, Charlotte. There’s always the DNC to look forward to …
Here’s more about the upcoming operation:

Occupy Wall Street will be spreading in Charlotte, as soon as the revolutionists chose which direction they seek activists involvement….One thing’s for sure, and that is that this revolution will not lose interest from the majority of the U.S. people. This has a great chance of being the beginning of innovating a respectable alternative economic climate where the current vehicle of purchase powers will have minimal future value to an evolved society. Future results from Occupy Wall Street will be seen as a massive positive movement for the greater good of civilized middle class people. The time has come, everyone knows this. It’s the dawn of a huge social overhaul where penalizing corporate corruption and restructuring the corporate system is the main USA agenda item on the mind of 99% of Americans. The people will speak. Charlotte will see peaceful activists coming together to point out exactly what must be done to fix the obvious problems Wall Street has created for us, and hopefully we will have the authority as the majority to implement some good change. Our Corporate presence won’t be overlooked…
Reporting on controversial issues is one thing I really respect this magazine for. Its great to see that Creative Loafing is not afraid to support Charlotte’s general public with REAL information.
These ideas are just what I think the people in NYC right now will hope for. I don’t know if the peaceful activists I am speak of will have any luck in changing the system or if they even want to change anything in the ways I’ve mentioned. All that can be known is that they hope to make a positive peaceful change and I like the idea of a positive peaceful change for everyday Americans, but they will have a lot to overcome. The government is on their side but it’s going to take time to make a good peaceful, harmfree, change. Peaceful and positive results are never easy but the world needs help from American’s who agree. Its a tough area for all of them. Best luck NYC.
