Bishop Anthony L. Jinwright, senior pastor of Greater Salem City of God, has been indicted on tax evasion charges by a federal grand jury in Charlotte.The indictment alleges that Greater Salem paid Jinwright more than $3.1 million in earnings and reimbursements from 2001 to 2006. That figure included $140,000 in travel-related expenses, unlimited used of a Mercedes-Benz, owned by the church, valued at more than $83,000 and with a monthly lease payment of more than $1,500.
