Anybody remember 1987’s Masters of the Universe, the campy fantasy flick starring Dolph Lundgren as He-Man and current Frost/Nixon Oscar nominee Frank Langella as Skeletor? Then brace yourself for a big-budget remake being made under the watchful eye of producer Joel Silver (The Matrix).

According to Variety, talks are ongoing for a new screen version based on the popular toy line. The film probably won’t hit theaters until 2011, but until then, toy lovers can make do with two other plastic products debuting this summer: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and G.I. Joe.

Oh, and there’s also talk of a future Hot Wheels movie. Seriously.
