Keep Regular Hours

Get Some Fresh Air

Just as with a regular job, you should try to get out and get some fresh air at least once a day. Don’t keep yourself cooped up for extended periods and make sure to get some daily exercise. Not only is it good for your physical health, but it is great for your mental health as well.

Ask for What You Need

If you are working from home for a company, don’t be shy about asking for items you may need to ensure your productivity. Whether it is equipment so that you can actually do your job from home, financial compensation for upgrades that you have had to do, or furniture so that you can comfortably do your job. Sitting at your kitchen table while trying to work isn’t going to last very long.

Remember That You’re at Work

If you are at home working during your business hours, remember that you are at work, and not at home. If you have kids that come home from school, they need to understand that you are working and not be available until after work is done. This is especially important when you do not have your own dedicated office space.
