* Lulu, 1911 Central Ave., has a new early diner’s special from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The four-course menu includes a choice of five apps, two salads, six entrees, and dessert, all served in smaller portions and costing $19.11 (Lulus address). Tuesday is half price on bottles of wines served by the glass. Lulu has reopened for lunch Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. 704.376.2242.
* Mortons The Steakhouse, 227 West Trade St., has a four-course Filet Mignon dinner for $99.99 for two but you can upgrade to any steak including the Double Porterhouse or the Bone-In Double Cut Prime Rib (Fridays & Saturdays) for an additional charge of $8 to $15 per person. * Weird Food: Harris Teeter in Cotswold has a red tabbouleh in their prepared foods case. Evidently, red cabbage is being substituted for parley. Wouldnt that make it a cabbage salad?
