There’s a new school bus … er, I mean food truck in town. That big silver bullet you see cruising up and down the streets of Charlotte is Chrome Toaster, a food truck specializing in what Chef Aaron Rivera calls “American street sandwiches.”

Although the menu changes regularly, here’s a sample menu of what sandwiches I found on the menu when I visited the food truck recently:
– Rock Shrimp Po’boy, Aji Amarilla with Avocado, Spinach, and Tomato
– Chicken and Brie with Tomatoes, Sprouts, and Apricot/Bacon Mayo
– Lamb Burger, Tzatziki, Tomato, Cucumber, and Sprouts
– Pork Loin Banti Mi, Cabbage and Carrot Slaw, and Spicy Aioli
– Chicken BLT Salad with Pepperoncini Dressing

If a sandwich isn’t quite enough, Rivera prepares a few sides that can be purchased in addition to your sandwich. These items were on the menu recently:
– Tarro Chips with Queso Fresco and Spicy Aioli
– Fried Potatoes with Parmesan Herbs
– Brussel Sprouts with Bacon and Shallots
