SEPT. 4Organic Brews & Blues. Go green in the garden at twilight, as Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden presents another Garden Nights event. This time you can enjoy organic beers, wines and foods (catered by The String Bean), while listening to blues music from WSNB. SEPT. 4-7Yiasou Greek Festival. In celebration of Greek culture, this four-day event offers lots of eats — from gyro and souvlaki to Grecian-style chicken, fish, lamb, salads and more. Don’t forget about the tiropita (feta cheese pie) or the spanakopita (spinach and feta cheese pie). And, for desert, try the baklava. In addition to all the food, the Yiasou Greek Festival will feature music, dancing, guided tours of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral and shopping areas. $2; Children 12 and under get in free. SEPT. 6-714th Annual Festival of India 2008. Local Charlotte Indian eateries like Woodlands, Udipi, Bombay Cuisine, Maharani and plenty more will bring their spiced up delights to this festival. Buy enough tokens so you can try a variety of dishes. In addition, there’ll be cultural displays, dancing and music.
