Journey at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on Aug. 2.

It was quite a year in the concert world. Ministry’s final tour stopped by Tremont Music Hall; FemmeFest drew local acts to Visulite Theatre, SKNet Cafe and Double Door Inn; Bruce Springsteen rocked Time Warner Cable Arena; Radiohead helped kick off a Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre season that included mini-festivals like Projekt Revolution, the Vans Warped Tour and CrueFest; the Crowntown Showdown showcased local and regional acts; MuteMath hit Cricket Arena with Alanis Morissette and Matchbox 20; Sevendust rocked Amos’ Southend … the list goes on, capping off with two nights of The Avett Brothers, who signed with American Records this year, at Belk Theatre.

I couldn’t possibly attend every show at every venue, but made my way all over town and, once again, out to the farmlands of Manchester, Tenn., for Bonnaroo. Collected here are a just some of my favorite shots from the last 12 months.
