In order to hear tracks by progressive urban artists you have listen to shows like Audiofloss. Audiofloss is Creative Loafing‘s weekly Internet radio show that focuses exclusively on urban music and culture. Hosted by Carlton Hargro and recorded at Charlotte’s own Ground Crew Studios (www.groundcrewstudios.com), the show features music and interviews by a host of artists and tastemakers. Past episodes have included underground stars like Tori Alamaze (the original singer of the Pussycat Dolls’ hit “Don’t Cha”) and soul vocalist Eric Roberson. Other episodes showcase people like David Atchison (who co-writes — alongside actress Rosario Dawson — the hit comic book known as the O.C.T.) novelist Casondra Sigers, record label head William Griggs and many more.
