Beyonce

Maybe it’s the outdoor venues. Maybe it’s the music. Either way, summer is the season for concerts, and they’re hitting all areas of the Queen City.

For the past few weeks, Charlotte’s been busy thanks to some big names in the music business — Beyonce performed at Bobcats Arena, John Mayer and Kenny Chesney (with Sugarland in tow) hit Verizon Wireless and Nickel Creek bid a fond farewell at Ovens Auditorium (with guest Fiona Apple).

Can it get any better? Sure can! Linkin Park and The Allman Brothers were here last week, Alison Krauss will visit Bobcats Arena this week and Ozzfest is getting ready to melt Verizon at the end of the month.

Oh, and Dave Matthews, The Cure and Tori Amos are coming this fall …
