Hellbound Glory — Self-described as Scumbag Country, the band’s singer/rhythm guitarist Leroy Virgil (hell if that’s not a country crooner name) plucks and howls in and out of dives and gin joints. Playing dry, dusty country music, the Reno-based outfit tells drinking stories — lots of them, while the guitars twang and sashay into true blue country haunts. All you need is a couple of cowpoke hats dancing face to face. With Cattletruck. $6, The Evening Muse, www.theeveningmuse.com

    1. Hellbound Glory is an amazing band! Get out and see them…they’re also playing a late show at the Thirsty Beaver at 10:30 PM tonight!

    2. Cattletruck is phenomenal too! Now sure why these guys keep getting overlooked in Charlotte…but this is going to be one hell of a show!

    3. Hell yeah! Cattletruck is great! Carolina Black Country amigo. If you ain’t heard them you’re missing the hell out!!

    4. Great show last night…and all 10 people who were there would attest to it…what the hell’s your problem Charlotte?! Two great bands, an early show, and hardly anyone comes out?!
