Journey Rarely can a band transition to a new singer and find the kind of success they had originally. Sure, Van Halen and AC/DC can be considered, but they’re clearly not the norm. Neither is Journey. When singer Arnel Pineda was discovered via YouTube, no one thought the guy would be that damn good at not only singing the Journey classics, but at the new tunes as well. 1. Sorry, no one, and I mean NO ONE can fill the man’s shoes. Steve will be forever THE voice of Journey. Give it up. You’ve turned into a tribute band.

  2. Steve Perry is not even an original member of Journey! The band was started by former members of Carlos Santana’s band, so shut the hell up, you don’t have a clue.

  3. blah blah blah, any haters of Arnel Pineda should go back to Justin Beiber. Steve Perry didnt want to come back, and thats about it, if you dont like Arnel singing then just live in the 70’s and 80’s ,

  4. If Arnel is not good enough then he won’t still be singing. I suggest those haters to see Journey’s concerts so they would appreciate Journey than just watching youtube. They are so much better live. I am sure Steve would have stopped Journey if Arnel isn’t really good. Steve has rights to those songs.

  5. Steve may be the voice…but its either you listen to the CDS to hear steve or you enjoy them live…. i like live music.

  6. If you are still fighting over the current version of this band or with Steve Perry you are stuck in the 70s and 80s.

  7. Arnel is awesome! I loved Steve Perry, grew old with Journey and him, but I swear, Arnel is so much better to me! Resounding masculine voice, amazing range, and an humble man. Could listen to him all night long. Thankful that Neal Schon searched you tube and found him!
