Kellie Pickler Sometimes it’s just amazing that the country bumpkin from Albemarle has grown up to grace large stages. Her Jessica Simpson-like ignorance won over the hearts of American Idol viewers, though I’d say her career has been far from Carrie Underwood’s. What is amazing is that idiots like you continue to bash Ms. Pickler and can not see talent when it shows up. I have seen her live multiple times and she is amazing. When Kellie went thru Idol she was as green as green can be, but her star personality and talent shined thru and the judges were keen to recognize it, as was BNA records. She is still young and growing as an artist . I have no doubt that in 10-20 years you will still be hearing from “The Picker”, when most other “Idols” have long be forgotten.
My guess is this writer isn’t a country music fan. When I watched Kellie on Idol I knew she’d grace the biggest stages. Her amazing Dolly Parton-like voice won my heart and I voted for her every week because she’s 1 of the best singers (like the Idol judges, I could tell this from her audition alone) who nailed most of her performances. She proved to be the best country singer of season 5, and 1 of the 2 best of all 9 seasons. Her career isn’t that far from Carrie’s. They both make great music, do very well with concert touring and make millions, even though Kellie was provided about 10 times less promotion and radio airplay (like every female on country radio except for Carrie and Taylor Swift). Like Chris Daughtry, even though Kellie didn’t win Idol due to skewed unlimited voting etc. she’s more successful than most winners and ranks #4 in earnings in Forbes. So she won where it counts, after Idol. If she were provided more label support, promotion and airplay, her sales would be much higher. I have both of Kellie’s albums and can’t wait to get her 3rd. I’ve been to quite a few concerts and she’s always 1 of the best live singers. Her great voice and music is the reason to go to this concert and I’d love for her to be the headliner.
Kellie Pickler is nothing short of a country bumpkin,in which she has grown musically since those American Idol days. Many underestimate this young talented lady. Country music has embraced her just as much as she has embraced the world through her talent,sincerity,the goodness and kindness of her heart and most of the person she is.
