In the wake of the grand jury’s decision not to indict police officer Darren Wilson in the Aug. 9 killing of Michael Brown, Killer Mike, who was performing in nearby St. Louis last night, gave an emotional speech to the crowd after hearing the news. Mike is one-half of the hip-hop duo Run the Jewels.

I would like to say, ‘Rest in peace’ to Michael Brown. … I would like to give all thoughts and prayers to the people out there peacefully protesting. I also give thoughts and prayers to the people who could not hold their anger in because riots are only the language of the unheard. We usually come on to Queen’s ‘Champion,’ and I just got to tell you today, no matter how much we do it, no matter how much we get shit together, shit comes along that kicks you on your ass and you don’t feel like a champion. So, tonight, I got kicked on my ass when I listened to that prosecutor. I’m gonna tell you. You motherfuckers got me today. I knew it was coming. I knew it when fuckin’ Eric Holder decided to resign. I knew it wasn’t gonna be good. I gotta tell ’em, ‘You motherfuckers got me today.’ You kicked me on my ass today, because I have a 20-year-old son and I have a 12-year-old son, and I’m so afraid for them. We know you do value his (El-P), but you know what, we’re friends and nothing is going to devalue that.
Before I came out here, there was no peace in my heart and I wanted to walk out to ‘Burn This Motherfucker Down.’ But I got to tell you, I’m from Atlanta, Georgia, something said, ‘Just look for something Martin King might have said.’ So I googled Martin King and Wikipedia popped up, and he was 39-years old when you motherfuckers killed him. He was the same age as I am, the same age as El. He was a young man when they killed him.
But I can promise you today: If I die when I walk off this stage tomorrow, I’ll let you know this: it is not about race, it is not about class, it is not about color. It is about what they killed him for. It is about poverty, it is about greed and it is about a war machine. It’s about a war machine that uses you as a (unintelligible). So as I go tomorrow, I might go the day after, but the one thing I want you to know it is us against the motherfucking machine!

Everybody says there is a RACE problem called Diversity. Everybody says Diversity will be solved when the third world pours into EVERY white country and ONLY into countries.
The Netherlands and Belgium are just as crowded as Japan or Taiwan, but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve Diversity by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.
Everybody says the final solution to this problem of Diversity is for EVERY white country and ONLY white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.
What if I said there was this problem called “Diversity” and this Diversity would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries?
How long would it take anyone to realize I’m not talking about Diversity. I am talking about the final solution to the BLACK problem?
And how long would it take any sane black man to notice this and what kind of psycho black man wouldn’t object to this?

I guess you didn’t look very hard. I don’t remember a single speech by Dr. King where he used the term “motherfuckers” or ” I also give thoughts and prayers to the people who could not hold their anger in because riots are only the language of the unheard”.
You need to listen to a few of Dr. King’s speeches before you try to equate your hate filled rant with Dr. King’s protests.

Lol..with all that said Killer Mike is actually one of the smartest and down earth people you will find in the music biz. I remember when he was class president at Douglas High back in the early 90’s. Then he was heavily involved with the SGA at Morehouse College when he went there too. Mike is and has always been very outspoken, he will hold a conversation with you about anything from current geo-politics to the street politics of the Westside of Atlanta. He is a very well rounded individual. And he is quite successful outside of rap, him and his wife own a few hair salons and he does a lot of mentoring to youth in both NW and SW Atlanta. I am so proud of Mike and all he has done. To see him come up from very humble beginnings and to be able to make it out of the area he is from is nothing short of commendable. Which is why I am also not surprised that the comments above are slanted against him and against the whole Ferguson/Mike Brown thing as well. I mean this is Charlotte after all. LOL. This city is run by good ol boys who only like to see Black people marginalized and in their place. I’ve only been in this backwater city a year and I feel so bad for the Black people here. There is no grind and 0 motivation from my brothers and sisters here, and it pains me to no end honestly. If the money wasn’t so easy here I would’ve moved months ago. We don’t go for that in Atlanta. Blacks are a force in every aspect of the city and we take a back seat to no one. Killer Mike speaking his mind in an intelligent and peaceful manner is status quo back home. Here in Charlotte that type of person is viewed as a threat.
