Kris Allen With the release of his new self–titled album, the season eight American Idol winner, not to be confused with crotch-thrusting runner-up Adam Lambert, is coming to perform for Charlotte. While Allen is best known for his folk-inspired representations of modern pop songs, he is classified as a pop/rock performer. On Idol, Allen sang “She Works Hard for the Money,” “What’s Goin’ On” and “We Are the Champions,” to name a few, and if that doesn’t prove his versatility, maybe his skill of playing several instruments such as guitar, keyboard and piano might do the trick. All in all, expect an exceptional performance. Amos’ Southend (Nicole Pietrantonio)

Thanks for the positive input. It is really time that writers, promoters acknowledged Kris Allen’s ability for versatility and create a powerful lyrics in his songs and melodies. Kris deserves that. Enough bashing about his CD sales, because like what he did during American Idol, his CD sales is doing wonderfully. I belive the writers, promotes, producers are very instrumental to market an artist to be successful. Kris has a great potential, and we are learning and seeing that talents these days and more days to come.
What you couldn’t get Adam so you make mean remarks???? Grow up. You’d have sold out with Adam. Kris is a great singer and I’m sorry for him being in Adams shadow.
What a wonderful opportunity to see Kris Allen and his band! Kris’ album is awesome and I can’t stop playing it, but Kris really shines in his live performances. He is so comfortable with who he is that the audience is just drawn in. He can rock out with the teenagers or be the “contemporary crooner” that Paula named him. Love him and love his music!
Quit linking up Kris and Adam would ya??? They have a completely different career and music genre now. It’s really boring to hear what Kris can do or what Kris can’t do or what Adam can do or what Adam can’t do!!!! This is so childish!!!!!
I have seen his performances at that show on YT. He’s amazing 🙂
