Mumford & Sons
Time Warner Cable Arena
April 14, 2016

Just 30 hours after announcing they would be donating all of the profits from their sold-out Charlotte concert to a local LGBT organization, Mumford & Sons hit the Time Warner Cable Arena stage and rocked it out.

It was the band’s first Queen City appearance and they did their best to make it up to fans by playing a lengthy set that bounced back and forth between old and new songs. The band went ahead and got their biggest hit out of the way early, playing the acoustic rumbler “Little Lion Man” second.

A few songs into the show, frontman Marcus Mumford told the crowd that the band was performing because they had made the decision to do so a long time ago. Fans hope it won’t be a long time before the band returns to the city.

  1. I am so thankful Mumford & Sons did not cancel their concert or I would have been completely heartbroken. They are my favorite band and I am a huge Super Fan. They put on an awesome gig, as always. Great decision, my Lads, great show. Love them with a passion!!!
