‘Tis the season for giving, and there are plenty of opportunities around the city. From donations and benefits to volunteering with any of a number of organizations, the holiday season usually brings out the best in people.

One idea, if you need something to do this week, is to head over to The Evening Muse on Wednesday, Dec. 19. They’ve put together an outreach concert featuring Donna Duncan, The Near Misses, John Tosco, Heidi Sidelinker and The New Familiars Trio. The show starts at 8 p.m. and the cost of admission is a donation.

Not sure how much to donate? Well, that’s the other great thing about the event. A single mom and her two daughters are being helped through the event.
