So, Santana has canceled the July 28 concert at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Charlotte due to “scheduling conflicts.”
Really? Because the July 27 and July 29 concerts are still going on as planned. I’d guess it’s more like poor ticket sales but did they even give them much of a chance? I’ve seen comments from quite a few people who are disappointed that the show is not going to happen. I guess it goes to show that you have to get your tickets early or a band just might bail out.

Jeff,
Please. That’s more than two months from now. It’s way too early to cancel the show due to poor ticket sales. Perhaps he does have a conflict. Such things do happen.
I just saw the show in Milwaukee, consider yorself spared. Frankly, the order of the music doesn’t draw you in. 50 minutes of new instrumental music. Only a few of his signature songs. Bass was way too loud and made me sick
saw Santana and Winwood in Milwaukee. the first 3rd of Santana first 3rd of concert was painfully good afro/cuban/latin. then some standards (bmw, oye como) then newer music. how good was it – i’m going on the road now for the next concert and changing a return flight from Italy to see them play Milan. Winwood played with 3 other fine musicians and it was very mellow to hear lo spark of high healed boys live. If you can-get tickets.
