If so, auditions for hip-hop artist Shawty Lo’s latest video are open to you Charlotteans this Saturday:

The Hip-Hop community is glad to see another celebrity give back. Shawty Lo, a national hip-hop icon, is giving aspiring singers, dancers, models, rappers, and comedians an opportunity to audition for a role in his music video – “Supplier” featuring R&B icon Trey Songz. The casting takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2009, 11am sharp, at Jillians Uptown (200 E. Bland St., Charlotte, NC 28203). The event, entitled “Hits for the Streetz” has no audition or admittance fees. Participants will also have an opportunity to work with Young Jeezy’s DJ – DJ Farenheit on a nationally distributed compilation.

On Saturday, contestants will display their talent before a panel of judges (American Idol style). There is no cost to audition or attend this event. Those selected will advance to a city wide finale and compete for a trip to Atlanta and role in the “Supplier” music video. The filming of the video is tentatively scheduled for July 2009. Once the video is edited, it will be instantly uploaded to YouTube.com and sent to BET, MTV, VH1, and many other major media outlets.
