I’m a music fanatic, an intern at Creative Loafing and a soon-to-be graduate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with majors in English and religious studies and a minor in (can you guess?) journalism. Today’s my last day as an intern at CL, so it’s probably the perfect time to give you my Top Five.
1) Books: The Vampire Chronicles series by Anne Rice, The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera, The Fairy Tales of Herman Hesse and Demian by Herman Hesse.
2) Music: I like a lot of different types of music ranging from electronica to synth-pop and industrial to alternative pop and acoustic rock. I love bands like Covenant, Ours, Wolfsheim, Apoptygma Berzerk, Polymax, 2 Raumwohnung, Nachlader, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, Joseph Arthur, Garbage and too many more.
3) Movies: Under the Tuscan Sun, part one and two of the Saw films (have yet to see 3), The Wizard of Oz, Return to Oz, and the Harry Potter series.
4) Travel: I love the atmosphere of Berlin, Germany.
5) Eats: Bombay Cuisine, Showmars, Chick-fil-A and Sir Edmond Halley’s.

obviously anita has proved an almost extrasensory grasp of quality. after checking each and every entry anita made on this her top5-confessions i came to the conclusion, that anita overcash is the most gifted observer of both classical and contemporary arts on planet earth. especially her detection of profound lyricist and composer POLYMAX makes her the winner of the annual P.A.-price ’06, wich is going to be at least 3 drinks of her choice, to be served in about 75 days in berlin!! (flight must be paid by the winner herself)
congratulations and thanks for making the world of arts a better place. maximilian stamm, president of plausible arts inc.
