Q: A few weeks ago, you used this column to plug a ton of your paper’s upcoming events and products. Got anything else to plug?
A: Do I have anything else to plug? Hell yes!
First up, stay tuned for two extra-sized issues of Creative Loafing coming up in the coming weeks: Fall Guide 2008 (Aug. 20) and our 21st annual Best of Charlotte extravaganza (Sept. 10). The Fall Guide will feature our take on all the greatest events and trends for next season. And the Best of Charlotte will present our yearly look at the best people, places and things in the Queen City as voted by our critics and by you the readers. Be sure to pick up both issues … or, to be on the safe side, just pick us up every week!
Along with those two big issues of the paper, you should definitely plan to attend two CL-related writing workshops: Hollis Gillespie’s Shocking Real-Life Writing Seminar and the next Editor’s Guide to Freelance Writing (which is hosted by me on Sept. 13 at Pura Vida Worldly Art). Hollis’ workshop pops off Aug. 24. For more on that, visit her Web site: www.hollisgillespie.com. And for more on the Editor’s Guide to Freelance Writing, visit www.puravidaart.com or call 704-335-8587.
OK, that’s all for now. Watch this space for more CL plugs in the near future.
