Q: So what do you think about John Edwards screwing around on his wife?

A: Unless Edwards violated some laws (which some are speculating), I honestly don’t think it’s anybody’s business.

And I really hope no one tries to, in any way, link this to the current presidential election.

It’s common knowledge that John McCain left his first wife under some pretty nasty circumstances (like, while she was ill), but that should not be the basis for not electing the guy. On top of that, trying to find out if Barack Obama has ever cheated or is currently cheating on his wife is dumb, too.

With all the problems we face as a nation, infidelity by any official is irrelevant.

And don’t give me that crap about character. I wouldn’t be surprised if all our presidents have been screwing around since George Washington took office. If being faithful was truly a sign of the “good character” needed to govern, a lot of people wouldn’t be getting elected.

When all is said and done, I’m not concerned about who the president is screwing — as long as he’s not screwing the people.
