Tipped off: A Hungry Howie’s delivery man was finally caught for allegedly fooling his employer with what looked like some gigantic tips from customers. Over five days, the driver made deliveries to customers who paid with credit cards over the phone and had them sign a receipt while at their homes. He could then take it upon himself to enter his own tip amount, sometimes making as much as $93 dollars a night. He accumulated $179.57 before being caught.

Gone with the wind: While not quite as disturbing as an entire plane disappearing from the face of the Earth, it’s still unsettling when airline equipment goes missing. That’s what happened at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport last week, when Delta Airlines reported two aircraft pilot headsets used for communicating between planes had gone missing overnight.

Piss and Run: Police near CMC Main were investigating a hit-and-run last week when they located their suspect, who quickly showed he was not willing to follow any rules that night. As soon as police made contact with the suspect, they must’ve noticed he looked antsy because “after being told not to relieve himself, the suspect urinated in public.” He then reportedly proceeded to assault both officers by kicking and head-butting them before being taken to the hospital and then jail.

Problem Children: A 34-year-old woman turned to police last week after losing control of two of her sons. She told officers that the two were arguing with her when they both left the house and began throwing things at the home’s exterior. The two boys were separated for the weekend, each staying with relatives.

Rude Awakening: A 45-year-old man in south Charlotte reported being awakened by a drunken roommate last week, and not just because the suspect was playing his music loud. The victim told police that the extremely intoxicated man came into his room at 9:30 p.m. while he slept and sprayed him with a fire extinguisher.

Leftovers: A 24-year-old woman was chased away from a home off Sugar Creek Road with Tupperware projectiles last week. The woman told officers that the suspect assaulted her by throwing multiple containers of food at her car. When she rolled her window down (big mistake), the suspect spit on her.

Blackout: A 29-year-old woman called police from a hospital bed last week, but not to report a crime. The woman told officers she was arrested the previous night and wanted them to meet her because she had no idea what happened.
