May 23: “Samples: Old to the New” — Discover the real music behind your favorite hip-hop hits. Featuring the turntable skills of DJ BRO RAB (last seen as the opening DJ at Nas show in NoDa).
May 30: Showcasing the art of local painter Topher and the turntable skills of DJ Buddy, spinning a set of Latin funk and more.
Plus: A rotating menu of free edibles courtesy of Townsend’s Gourmet Cuisine (from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.), and a special “Blaxploitation” film fest running all night on the big screen.
