Interested in local and/or national politics? Ever had the desire to smack Rush Limbaugh or kick Tim Russert in the gonads? Well, you’ve got to check out Creative Loafing’s Political Party.

Modeled after Bill Maher’s TV show Politically Incorrect, Political Party is CL’s twist on a political talk show. But our show doesn’t happen on the small screen — it’s a live event and goes down April 4 at 7 p.m. at the Neighborhood Theatre (511 E. 36th St., 704-358-9298).

Political Party will be hosted by CL’s award-winning columnist Tara Servatius, and she’ll be joined on stage by a host of guests from the political world, the media, academia and more.

And, best of all, you don’t just watch Political Party — you get to participate. We encourage audience members to ask questions and state concerns about issues affecting your life. So turn off the TV and the car stereo and let your voice be heard at Political Party.

Oh yeah … and it’s FREE.
