For All Signs: The Christmas Star has been a puzzle for centuries. It is generally accepted that the Magi were astrologers. We must search history for clues to the phenomenon that compelled the Magi to travel such a distance to Palestine. Percy Seymour, physicist-astronomer of Great Britain, offers a strong case which postulates the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction of Sept. 7 in the year 7 B.C., as the birth date of Jesus in his book, Astrology: The Evidence of Science (1988). During that year there was a rare triple conjunction of these two planets in the sign of Pisces, the Fish. The second conjunction of Sept. 7 occurred in the sign of Virgo. Thus it might have been said that He was born of a virgin (Virgo). Biblical realists will not appreciate this interpretation of the story, but it is a sound proposal if we consider the common acceptance of astrological knowledge of the times.
Aries: You are excited and loaded with energy. You may be chattering so fast that people cannot keep the pace. This is a dream time for those who have oral or written projects because words flow so freely.
Taurus: For the next four weeks your attention is focused in the areas of travel, education, publishing, teaching, the law and the Internet. Venus, your ruling planet, will generally smile upon you when you work within these borders.
Gemini: Your ruling planet enters the territory of partners, significant others, and marriage. This week you have especially favorable aspects in these areas. It is a good time to share yourself and your ideas with those you love. Now is the time to heal any rifts of the past.
Cancer: Sometimes your ideal self and your emotional self conflict. This week you may be talking to yourself quite a lot. Your desire to appear spontaneous and happy-go-lucky is in conflict with your inner self and ongoing worries. This happens to everyone occasionally. Don’t take it seriously. It will pass.
Leo: You are having a fine time with the holiday preparations now. You and your partner are in a good place together and there is peace on your earth at this time. Give yourself the opportunity to enjoy the arts, and take a few moments here and there for the special luxuries that make you happy.
Virgo: Your focus shifts to matters of home, hearth, and family. Things of the past may float up in your mind for reflection. If this occurs, recall what you learned from the former experience. It probably would help you now. Family concerns may occupy your attention.
Libra: Through December your attention shifts to an interest in making your surroundings more attractive. Venus’ children enjoy decorating, whether it is for a holiday, or for a time more lasting. This is a good time to invite friends into your home. Your warm and caring ways will attract many to you now.
Scorpio: Information comes your way that suggests help for financial concerns. You will probably leap on the solution quickly. As an aside, your mind is racing and you are a chatterbox deluxe this week. Your energy is on a high and you can accomplish whatever you decide to finish.
Capricorn: A live guardian angel offers help in the background. This person gives you a recommendation or speaks well of you in some other way that becomes very helpful. You may be giving or receiving small gifts or tokens of affection during this period.
Aquarius: Helpful information or words of kindness come your way at this time and offer you a measure of emotional healing. You, in turn, are likely to offer your empathy and compassion to another. You have a greater sense of kinship to the spirit of all around you.
Pisces: You probably feel passionately about more than one thing this week. You may encounter a conflict within yourself. The fervent side of you wants to tell everyone and this is at odds with your quieter, shyer face. This is just one example of the Fish swimming in opposite directions.
