White Noise

It makes perfect sense to me that Hispanics disproportionately drive drunk (“Driving While Hispanic,” by Karen Shugart, Dec. 21). Here’s why: First of all, many of them are bad drivers when they get here. In Mexico, there are very few decent paved roads in rural communities, so people basically off-road half the time. It is also a common fact that poorer people drink more than middle- and upper-class people. Why? Probably because they have more to worry about.

Blacks aren’t complaining about Hispanic drunk drivers. It’s white people, white people that don’t want Hispanics illegally crossing our southern border even though we illegally took that same land from them years ago. It’s the same white people that think it’s OK for cops to pull over black people for nothing, or to search Arabs for bombs for no good reason. These are the same white people that hate outsourcing but don’t realize that rich whites love cheap labor, especially in construction and housekeeping. These are the same whites that blame everyone else except the real culprits for their problems.

Of course, most whites have no more power of influence than a homeless person, and this disturbs them, because the elite really don’t give a crap what they think, despite their racial loyalty. Most whites believe at some level that they deserve to be treated better than non-whites, and anything that violates that core belief becomes a problem for them regardless of the real cause. My point is that this is a race issue only because whites have chosen to make it one. It’s white people angry at immigrants who are coming here and dwindling the white population along with perceived American prosperity.

The message to whites is clear: Stop blaming minorities for the problems that rich whites cause because you’re pissed off that you aren’t one of them.
