When: Summer movie series one Friday each month through September. Event starts at 7pm; movie starts at dark, approximately 8:45pm.

• Celebrate America! 4th of July Fireworks
When: July 4, 2006. Gates open at 4pm, opening act at 7pm, Charlotte Philharmonic at 8pm.
Where: Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens, 6500 New Hope Road, Belmont, NC.
Price: Tickets are free to Garden members, $10 adult nonmembers, $5 children ages 4-12.
• Charlotte Center City carriage tours
When: Friday, Saturday and Sunday (weather permitting).
Where: Pickup location is on Tryon Street, between 6th and 7th Streets (in front of Discovery Place).
Price: Tours are $20/2 adults (15 minutes), $30/2 adults (30 minutes), $60/2 adults (60 minutes); children under 5 free.
