Fans of nightlife, take heed: Creative Loafing and The Sol Kitchen have got a few good events in store for you:
• First, check out this week’s edition of the Pop Life. Going down at Loft 1523 (1523 Elizabeth Ave.) this Wednesday (Aug. 13), the event features music by Atlanta-based DJ Larmarrous. He’ll be spinning B-side soul tunes, new-school soul and more dopeness. The fun starts at 6 p.m., and it’s free.
• Then, come back to Loft Friday, Aug. 15 to hear music by the legendary producer/wax-spinner DJ Spinna. At this event — titled Infusion: I Love the ’90s — expect to hear the best cuts from (you guessed it) the 1990s. Doors open at 9 p.m. and admission is $10 before 11 p.m.
• Lastly, come back to Pop Life on Aug. 27 to meet the “Dudes Who Rock.” Similar to our “Women Who Rock” parties of the past, this event gives honor to guys who are making Charlotte a cooler place to live. More details to come next week …
