SUSTAIN CHARLOTTE TO HOLD FIFTH ANNUAL BIKETOBERFEST PRESENTED BY THE CHARLOTTE KNIGHTS

Charlotte, NC (September 20, 2019)- Discover how easy it is to get around Charlotte without driving at Sustain Charlotteโ€™s fifth annual Biketoberfest presented by The Charlotte Knights happening Sunday, October 13! Ride on the protected bike lane that was piloted at last year’s event and is now a permanent installation in Uptown!

This unique event will take you along a bike route with stops at fun destinations along the way and will culminate with an after-party at Triple C Brewing Co. There will also be a shorter, more family-friendly route, so bring the kids. As you make your stops, collect stamps on your official Biketoberfest passport. The stamps will be entered in a raffle for prizes! The more destinations you visit, the more chances youโ€™ll have to win.

Sustain Charlotte started this event as a fun way to promote biking for transportation to Charlotte-Mecklenburg residents. Last year almost 600 people attended and we had 100 volunteers! Not only does bicycling for transportation promote a healthier lifestyle, but it also reduces transportation costs as well as air pollution and carbon emissions.
