NO FLUFF, NO FOLD: A man was sitting on his living room couch when a woman came in, picked up his shoes and clothing and left. Three hours later, she drove up to his aunt’s house and got out of her vehicle, trash bag in hand. She threw the charred remains of his property on the ground and said she’d burned them.
EXPRESS LANE DISCOUNT: A grocery store shopper had assorted foodstuffs in her cart — necessities like baby formula and beer — when she pushed it to the self-service checkout. She put her groceries in bags without paying and, when asked for her receipt as she left, fled.
PAGING BARNUM: A woman was at a football game when a man claiming to be an investment banker and another person approached her and urged her to buy a car for the man. He promised to pay her back in 30 days, and, after all, it would help build up her credit. She made three payments before she stopped paying.
THE BANKER STRIKES AGAIN: Another man also reported being approached by a financial wizard at a football game. The would-be banker fraudulently helped the man buy a home he couldn’t afford. And he convinced the man to buy him a car that he promised to pay for. Of course, he didn’t.
STAYING HYDRATED: A man was working at a fast food restaurant when a someone hurled a large drink at him through the drive-thru window. He escaped without injury.
CRAZY EDDIE SPECIAL: A woman wanted to buy a car from a Ford dealership. They let her take it while her sales paperwork was approved. The sale wasn’t completed, but she wouldn’t return the $17,000 car.
