A FAMILY THAT FIGHTS TOGETHER: A health clinic employee said a male patient was unhappy with the service he received and called the facility several times cursing staff. Not satisfied with merely phoning in the verbal assaults, the man and his wife came to the facility and cursed staff some more.
OLD SCHOOL BEAT DOWN: A 31-year-old man got in an argument with a woman at a hotel on Clanton Road. When the woman became fed up with the man running his mouth, she picked up her purse and hit him in the face. The man suffered bruises and scratches. The woman was arrested.
BLAME IT ON THE RAIN: A 36-year-old man said someone broke into his home on Central Avenue by smashing his rear sliding glass door and stole only a $10 green and white umbrella. Coincidently, it was raining that day.
SHOW ME THE MONEY: A 47-year-old man said he hired two men to do construction work on a group of houses he owned. Work was progressing smoothly until the men decided they weren’t getting paid properly. The man said the two workers pushed and threatened him saying they wanted their money.
SNATCH AND RUN: An employee at Silver Express on South Tryon Street said a man came to his register to purchase a chain. The employee rang the item up and the man handed him a twenty. As the employee was making change, the man grabbed the change and the twenty and fled.
a friend indeed: A 24-year-old woman said she was chilling with a friend when she discovered $120 missing from her purse. She believes the friend stole it because they were the only ones in the apartment at the time.
SOME PEOPLE DON’T NEED GUNS: A 17-year-old man was handling a .25 caliber handgun when he accidentally shot himself in the leg. He was taken to the hospital where his wound was treated.
