Never Let Your Ex-girl Talk to Your New Girl: A 29-year-old man said his girlfriend was on talking on the phone with his ex-girlfriend when the two women began arguing. Unfortunately, the man received the brunt of the current girlfriend’s anger: She busted out the windows of his 1997 Ford Expedition and keyed the SUV. In all, she did $5,000 damage to the gas guzzler.
Disgruntled Customer: A cashier at Liberty Food Mart said a man tried to buy a pack of cigarettes with a lot of loose change. The cashier wouldn’t accept the change because it wasn’t wrapped. After a brief argument, the man stormed out of the store, damaging the glass front doors before fleeing.
The Old Snatch and Run: A 17-year-old girl said she was buying a MoneyGram at Wal-Mart when she laid an envelope containing $307 on the counter. A man walked up, grabbed the envelope, and ran.
Half is Enough: A 27-year-old woman said she hired a man to repair her home’s fence and replace a garage door. The job was going well until the woman paid him $1,648 – half of the money owed him. The man never returned to finish the job.
Threat of the Week Pt. 1: An employee at Carolina Medical Center said a man phoned, demanding to speak with the person who fired his girlfriend. The man said it wasn’t right that his girlfriend was canned and he was “mad as hell” about it. He told the employee, “If I come up there, there will be bloodshed.”
Threat of the Week Pt. 2: A 40-year-old woman said a former acquaintance has been harassing her for weeks with at least 50 annoying calls. She said the harassment turned threatening when her ex-friend said, “Do not come out the house ’cause I’m going to kill you.”
