Good Times Roll in Gastonia: A man who does not have a driver’s license stole his roommate’s car and drove to Gastonia. Once he reached that hotbed of nightlife, they guy handed over the car to three of his buddies. The troublemaking trio cruised around town in the stolen Chevy for several hours before wrecking it.
See, Video Games Do Cause Violence: A 28-year-old man reported that while playing video games in his basement, he was assaulted by a friend. The gamer had asked the friend leave. When the tussle spilled outside, the unruly guest continued to punch the video-game victim about the head and face, until the thumb jockey’s roommates finally came to his rescue.
Just Waitin’ for the Bus: Apparently someone has it in for the bus stop on Park Road near Woodlawn. Last week, we noticed someone had either shot the glass walls with a gun or struck it with a blunt object. Sometime over the weekend the vandals must have gone at it again, as there are now a half dozen more damaged areas.
Y’all Blowed Up Real Good: A man reported that an acquaintance brandished a gun and issued the following threat: “I know where you live. If you don’t give me my money, you and your wife are gonna be blown up. If you don’t have my money in an hour, I’m gonna blow you up.” No reports of fireworks yet.
Good Place To Be Assaulted: While at a Charlotte hospital, a man was struck in the arm with a phone by his female friend. The man told police he’s had ongoing problems with the woman because of her drug addiction.
Maybe He Just Liked The Car: Someone scratched “Bitch Ass” on the side door of a woman’s car as it was parked at a neighborhood pool. The woman told police she had no idea who would do such a thing. She and her husband are offering a $100 reward for information as to the identity of the culprits.
Don’t Clock the Granny: A 55-year-old woman called police to report that her grandson punched her face and scratched her arm. The police report indicates the woman had “visible signs of assault on her body.”
