On June 25, Pop Life will — for the 3rd time in two years — honor women who are making Charlotte a cooler place to live during our “Women Who Rock” award presentation.
The ceremony ties into this week’s cover story — which recognizes six funky chicks — but during the live event we’ll pass out plaques to more than 12 deserving Charlotte-based ladies.
The event starts at 6 p.m. (plaques will be passed out around 8 p.m.) and will also feature a special photography exhibition by local photog Moye (pictured right) and a musical salute to the sounds of Afrobeat by DJs Michael Kitchen and That Guy Smitty.
Oh and it’s free, and it goes down at Loft 1523 (1523 Elizabeth Ave.).
