At my part-time job, I have to wear a bow tie. It’s not the most comfortable accessory, but it does draw attention to the neck. At least now I can be considered fashionably hip, at least according to this story on WSJ.com:

After years under the chins of the pocket-protector crowd, the bow tie is cool. It now appears on “Gossip Girl” characters, fashion runways and sports stars — as well as young hipsters.
