Retail isn’t exactly in abundance in Uptown, so for a storefront to focus on such a niche audience — well, I’m impressed.

Formerly a Web-based business, Lineage Bridal is a bridal consignment boutique that’s recently opened up on McNinch Street. The shop will celebrate its grand opening on May 16 with a party at Roof With a View.

Owned by Natasha Duff-Cole and Jodene Pooler, the shop offers new, gently-worn and sample designer bridal gowns. “I wanted to offer women a trusted venue to showcase their treasured wedding gowns and work one on one with brides-to-be, helping each find her ‘perfect’ gown — at a price that didn’t leave her dipping into the honeymoon fund,” Duff-Cole said in a press release.

The grand opening celebration will offer hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and a runway presentation and collection from Elle Magazine 2011 Fashion NEXT award recipient Faith Thornburg. RSVP for the party at info@lineagebridal.com. Brides, make your appointment to meet with Duff-Cole and Pooler for your wedding fashion needs by calling 704-200-5037.

Lineage Bridal is located at 621 McNinch St. www.lineagebridal.com.
