Red Pump WidgetI think for Christmas, I’m going to ask for a pair of red stilettos. This upcoming event,  The Red Pump/Red Tie Affair: A Stylish World AIDS Day Event, makes me yearn for them.

From the good folks at JSW Media Group:

JSW Media Group in association with The Red Pump Project is proud to host “The Red Pump/Red Tie Affair: an evening of art, fashion, food and music to commemorate World AIDS Day 2009.  This year’s gala will take place the evening of December 1, 2009 at the elegant Palmer Building (2601 East Seventh Street near Uptown Charlotte) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.   The night will feature an awards ceremony where author DeVondia Roseborough will be honored for her fearless commitment to community activism with the inaugural “Red Pump Award.”   Roseborough is the author of “Put it on Paper,” a nonfiction memoir describing her life before HIV and after AIDS, and founder of The Rasberrirose Foundation, a 501c (3) nonprofit organization whose focus is to minister to teenage girls aged 10-18, struggling from self-esteem, with a focus on HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness.

“This extravaganza of fashion and style is meant to celebrate life and raise awareness through an evening of entertainment and fellowship,” says Jameka Whitten, CEO of JSW Media Group and Charlotte’s Red Pump Project Ambassador; “This is more than just a holiday party, it is a way to make a difference and support the people who need it the most.”

A portion of the proceeds from The Red Pump/Red Tie Affair will profit The Red Pump Project, enabling them to continue their mission to raise awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls, ensuring that women are empowered with accurate knowledge about HIV/AIDS and the issues surrounding it. This will be the first Red Pump Project event in the Carolinas.  To learn more visit www.theredpumpproject.com.

  1. Good Day. A fine quotation is a diamond on the finger of a man of wit, and a pebble in the hand of a fool. Help me! Could you help me find sites on the: Interest morgage calculator. I found only this – monthly car payment calculator. Calculator, though the best algebra for planning this is to complete up with a positive accident work cogeneration. Calculator, for time, when and how thus hate you meet this postulant? Thanks . Britain from Serbia.
