Theme: Old Charlotte versus New Charlotte. However you interpret the colliding worlds of the past and present of Charlotte — we want to see it.
Prize: Winning entry gets to be on the cover of Creative Loafing, plus a cash prize of $150. (Hey, we know it’s not much, but that’s at least two tanks of gas and a large pizza.)
Entry Period: Oct. 25-Nov. 15 by 5 p.m.
Publication Date: Dec. 12
You may enter up to three photos. Name the photographs with your first and last name and number of photographs submitted — Example: OliviaPope_1.jpg, OliviaPope_2.jpg, etc.
Per photoshopping, we're allowing only minor burning, dodging and/or color correction. Cropping is also acceptable. Think photojournalism for this contest.
Photos must be high resolution (we prefer 10 x 10.75 inches at 300 dpi, taken with the highest setting on your camera).
IF YOU UPLOAD A LOW RESOLUTION PHOTOGRAPH, YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE A HIGH RESOLUTION PHOTOGRAPH OR YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
And for Pete’s sakes, no selfies! We’re sure you have a pretty mug, but we don't want to see it ... in this contest, anyway.
If you have any questions about your submission, please contact Kimberly Lawson at kimberly.lawson@creativeloafing.com or Melissa Oyler at melissa.oyler@creativeloafing.com.
