The current Tom Hanks film Captain Phillips, about a cargo ship that’s hijacked by Somali pirates, has generated plenty of strong reviews to go along with its impressive box office, but another recent movie sporting the same plot has earned equally rapturous raves. Danish writer-director Tobias Lindholm (co-scripter of this past summer’s excellent drama The Hunt) presents A Hijacking, in which a shipping company CEO (Søren Malling) bargains with the pirates for the lives of the crewmen they have taken prisoner.
