After “Accidental Racist,” his ham-fisted “hands-across-the-racial-divide” experiment with L.L. Cool J, Brad Paisley returned to his contemporary country comfort zone, and he’s all the better for it. Strongest when he’s cranking out crunchy, pop ditties about trucks and pretty girls, drenched in scorching squealing guitar, Paisley’s a traditionalist spiked with smart-aleck charm and a futurist outlook.
