Let’s just be honest: Not all of us get jokes right away. Some of us need a diagram to map them out for our brains. Luckily, comedian Demetri Martin is known for using charts to better explain his points to audiences. We’re not entirely sure if he’ll do this during his upcoming performance in Charlotte, but whether he does or not isn’t really important. Martin’s jokes are observational, quick-witted and upfront. He might joke about random things, but he doesn’t beat around the bush or tell long, lingering stories that someone with ADD can get lost in. That being said, he does have a tendency to bring music into the mix; guitars, keyboards and/or harmonicas are his friends on the road and a tuneful supplement to his jokes. (Anita Overcash)
