Denisovan

The exhibit is comprised of prints and text from artist Heather D. Freeman’s book, Denisovan. Freeman is an associate professor of art at UNC-Charlotte. Her book uses apps and mobile devices and is centered around someone who died 40,000 years ago. Freeman tracked scientific details on the individual, which led to her questioning the evolution of family relationships. It’s a compelling exhibit with interactive twists. (Anita Overcash)
