Dirty Dancing Festival
There are some folks who can’t let the memory of 1987’s Dirty Dancing go. Hence this gathering around Lake Lure, where scenes were filmed. The festivities kick off with a screening on Friday. That’s followed by a day-long series of events on Saturday. In the mix — live music, dance lessons, watermelon games (see if you can carry one as good as Baby), a “lake lift” competition and more.
