Dre Day
The world’s been waiting 16 years for a release from Dr. Dre. Over the years, the album — formerly known as Detox — has been given plenty of release dates, but nothing’s seen the light of day. In the meantime, there are events like this one celebrating the iconic rapper’s birthday. Dre turns 50 this year, so Charlotte rapper Lute, Virginia’s Rble and a handful of DJs have their work cut out for them at this tribute show. (Jeff Hahne)
