Charlotte Film Festival

After bypassing 2011 altogether, the Charlotte Film Festival returns for its sixth annual celebration. The event will be spread out over a longer period of time than in the past, with movies being shown Mondays and Tuesdays (and some Wednesdays) over the course of four weeks. The festival will showcase a dozen fiction films (including the locally shot thriller A Box for Rob and Best Narrative Feature nominee Regretting Fish, pictured), 11 documentary features (including several with Carolina ties, such as The Hopeful and Wrestling for Jesus), and more than three dozen narrative shorts, documentary shorts and student films. There will also be an awards presentation taking place on opening night. For more information, visit www.charlottefilmfestival.org.
