GROOVE 8
Comprised of some of Charlotte’s finest jazz musicians, Groove 8 has been funking up the scene since 2005. With four albums under its belt, and alumni who often return to sit in with the group, this collective of sorts has put its stamp on the local and national music scene, with some band members performing with Prince and Fleetwood Mac. Expect to hear new material from its upcoming 2015 album, too. (Jeff Hahne)
