JIMMY THACKERY
After spending 14 years as part of The Nighthawks, Jimmy Thackery went solo to perform a traditional form of the blues. Look, no one is going to see Thackery for his stunning vocals — it’s all about six strings here. Inspired by Buddy Guy and Jimi Hendrix, Thackery torches riffs and sets the blues on fire with his stellar fretwork. He conveys far more emotion and energy through his fingers than he does through his vocal cords. (Jeff Hahne)
